In retail EVERYTHING is subject to measurement:
- sales per linear foot
- sales per hour
- purchasers as a percent of visitors
- average dollar per purchase
- average dollar per item
- average sale per day
and probably quite a few that don't come easily to mind anymore. My supervisors had a mantra (which meant that we ALL had a mantra): What Gets Measured Gets Done.
It makes sense; measuring keeps your focus on the goal, which keeps it firmly at the front of your consciousness, which makes it more likely that you'll take action to achieve the goal.
Note: Yes. Retail is complicated. My guess is that George R R Martin used it as his template for Game of Thrones. But that is just a guess.
Think of the fitness gurus that tell you to record what you eat ( Create a Food Diary! they chirrup.) . They promise that you will lose weight if you do it, and irritatingly they are correct. It may be that you are so busy trying to find that notebook and a working pen that you don't have time to nosh... but anywho where was I?
Also the financial gurus: write down your savings goals and break them into time-bound milestones. Record all of the money you spend and you will end up with money left each week to put into savings. This is, or course, true. When YOUR OWN HANDS write down the crazy stuff you are buying you will be too embarrassed to record it. (You will also likely lose weight, too, because way too much of it is also probably junk food. (You have food at HOME!)
What gets measured gets done.
Here's the thing: Project 2025 is 47% achieved already.
How do I know this? Because it has a Tracker. Yes. each objective from the 900+ page manifesto is documented, noted the agency assigned to it, and progress toward completion is meticulously tracked.
Also tracked is the Days, hours, minutes, and seconds remaining of the current administration. As of the moment I write this it is:

It shows the Overall Progress towards achieving the 317 separate objectives.

The Progress by Agency

Also: detailed project Objectives, which can be expanded to show the sources and may also explain on which page on the actual Project 2025 documentation it can be found.

The completion rates range from 100% accomplished to 0% accomplished:

Clicking on the Objective 'unpacks it' for you. This is what you'll find if you unpack the Federal Reserve Objective:

What's the Point?
It's been a while since I wrote about Project 2025. Truthfully: I was so sad. So terribly discouraged that all of the warning and writing didn't seem to make a dent in anything, and people said I was overreacting, and Trump said he didn't know about it... that I figured no one cared. What was the use?
Like when I pointed out that Karoline Leavitt and Stephen Miller made training films for Heritage Foundation to prepare people for government jobs. Ho-hum! So what?! Now he is, well, whatever he is (but proven to be someone that used Signal to discuss confidential military plans, but- whatever) and she is the 'Those Lips!' Communications guardian and grandstander in chief.
So maybe, just maybe, folks would like to see for themselves, in a handy interactive chart, the plans and progress of the Heritage Foundation as trump signs the Executive Orders they created for him over the past four years as they disassemble the democracy and remake it as they please.
So, here's the link to the Project 2025 Tracker for your own use. It's free.
If you are supportive of the way things are going down it may help you keep track of all the moving pieces.
For me? Well; I read Project 2025. I know what the plans are and I've been sick about them for about a year. The overall objectives no longer surprise me, but the depths of cruelty turn my stomach. The people involved that prop up this charade of government disgust me even as they act to increase their personal wealth at the expense of their souls.
But, you do you.
Here's a link to the previous articles I've written on Project 2025, found within a handy catch-all article into which a link to this will soon appear:

We just have to cross our fingers and hope, hope, hope and keep hoping and praying that all things work out for the best for everyone.
I read a book in the early 90s Called 'History of the Future' Inside was a chapter called 'The Death of government'. Project 2025 is in complete alignment and could easily be the catalyst for the collapse of American govt. Scary to think about but can't be ignored.
This is only going to grow and consume a lot of institutions that claim to be safe.
They are all religious fanatics thinking that they are facilitating the Second Coming. Project 2025 is indeed terrifying. Thanks for sharing this, Judey.
