Vlad 'The Invader's' Nuke Threshold.

Putin Lowers Nuke Threshold.

By Nicholas BishopPublished about a year ago 3 min read
Vlad Putin.

Joe Biden held off from sanctioning the use of Attacms missiles in case Russia hit back with nukes. Putin has always used veiled threats against the West about Russia's 6,000 nuclear missile capability. Now it seems the Americans in the closing days of Biden's presidency, Washington is calling Moscow's bluff. In other words, are Putin's threats just bluff and bluster or a real action he would take? Certainly, the West if Putin is serious is playing a dangerous game.

6 Attacms missiles were fired into Russia at Bryansk. Biden allowed Ukraine to fire these missiles into Russia. As I said in the first paragraph to call Putin's bluff. Ironically enough, on the day (yesterday) these missiles were launched at Russia, Putin signed off on lowering the threshold on which Russia can use nuclear weapons. Whether he knew about the attack on Bryansk at the time is unclear. It just seems odd though or coincidental that Zelenskyy fired missiles at Russia, and Putin, should be signing off on this at the same time.

So what exactly has Vlad signed off on and what will it allow Russia to do? It will allow Russia now in theory to respond with nukes to just such an attack like Ukraine launched. Not only to fellow nuclear powers but now dangerously and alarmingly to non-nuclear powers. So, the question has to be asked (as Mr Childress always asks on 'Ancient Aliens) will Russia let this Attacms assault slide?

Next time if Attacms are used or the UK's 'Stormshadow' will Putin then use battlefield nukes? Certainly, as Putin sits in Mosscos, he now has that option. If Putin were to launch a nuke on one of Ukraine's cities would the West respond in kind? This question is the $64,000 question!

Vlad may not use nukes not only because he is bluffing but because nukes and their use are forever. Once used, the other side responds, and so it carries on, there is no going back. It is utter and total destruction globally.

It will be the end of the human race unless you happen to be the government or celebs. Then you have the option of going into a self-sustained nuclear shelter. Life would carry on as it would have done on the surface. With generations coming and going. Outside would be a nuclear winter and nuke fallout thanks to these weapons being used. Then when that time has passed you might emerge again and see how the planet has regenerated in flora and fauna.

So, if you happen to be 'Joe Public' most of us will be gone. At least it will be quick and over within a literal flash. As far as I know, unlike WW II, there are no shelters for the public to take cover in. Imagine if you did survive how would you cope in such an environment? You might as well have been taken out by the nuke as life would be hell. You might eke out a living. At the same time, you would have to be mindful of radiation everywhere. It's possible some life forms would survive look at Chernobyl life is thriving!

Vlad, however, may have moral reasons not to use nukes. Yes, even Putin has a conscience. He may not be able to push that button. Also, China an ally of Russia would not be happy with Russia's use of nukes even in a small way. Not forgetting Trump is coming to power in January so Putin may hold off.

In any situation, we can all speculate. As I have said before in any scenario the only certainty is the uncertainty!
