The BBC Asked For It.

Trump is Taking the BBC to Court.

President Trump.

The BBC, when it doctored Trump's speech, knew exactly what it was doing. When Trump stood at the podium and told his followers, "To fight like hell"! The next moment, his followers stormed the Capitol Building in Washington. This is where the US Congress meets to certify the results of a presidential election. His followers stormed the building to disrupt the certification that Joe Biden had won.

However, it has since been revealed that Trump did not say that, and BBC editors doctored that speech to make it look like he was causing trouble. Heads rolled at the BBC when the BBC admitted they had doctored his speech. The BBC has a left-wing bias in many respects, so why wouldn't they interfere with Trump's speech and implicate him in the storming of the Capitol Building?

Whatever you think of Trump or any other figure, political or otherwise, doctoring speeches to suit your narrative is wrong. However, in doctoring Trump's January 6 speech, they knew what they were doing, and they knew exactly what it would do. Trump seemed to row back on taking the BBC to court for $10 billion. However, it is official now that Donald J. Trump is taking the BBC to court. This is at a time when the BBC is already in trouble over the controversial licence fee. You have to pay the licence fee if you watch BBC programmes.

However, many have stopped watching the BBC because of the licence fee and its wokery. Even so, under the law, which is an ass, you still have to pay for the licence fee. The law states that whether you stream, watch on TV, or use the BBC iPlayer, a fee is required, even if it's not BBC content. Technically, if you do not watch live TV or BBC iPlayer, you do not need a licence. Conversely, you might be asked to declare that, though.

One wonders how many other news stories have been doctored by the BBC? And I'm sure the BBC is not the only news media to do this. With many news media outlets today, the stories they report are hardly objective any more. Many of the stories are reported from the news outlets' political bias, be it left or right. Basically propaganda, so how can we trust any news stories these days?

The BBC obviously didn't think when doctoring Trump's speech that Trump has a track record of suing news media outlets. That shows their stupidity unless they thought somehow they would get away with it. The thing is, why is Trump suing now? The doctored speech has been out in the public domain for a while now. Why didn't Trump take legal action before? Unless it's only come to light recently that the BBC interfered with Trump's speech?

The BBC say it was a mistake. I doubt that, frankly. The BBC knew what its editorial team were doing, so they only have themselves to blame. Even if the top management didn't know what the editorial team were doing, surely they would have screened it and noticed the obvious deliberate mistake. So the fact that the management team allowed the doctored speech to be broadcast shows they approved. So I'm sorry, BBC, you are guilty as charged. Whatever you think of Trump, wouldn't any one of us also want to correct a deliberate mistake if someone was making out we had said or done something when we know we hadn't?

If Trump wins this case and wins $10 billion in defamation, it serves the BBC right. However, the downside is that with the current licence funding, the BBC will increase the licence fee. And that will fall on the likes of you and me. The model is very much like a medieval model where the Baron overtaxes the peasants. Will the BBC eventually turn to advertising or subscription to fund itself? That is indeed the $64,000 question.

I personally would replace "if" with 'when" Trump wins the case, Haha. I enjoyed your perspective on this.
