Teaching LGBTQ to Kids?
This is Not Age Appropriate.

I could not believe what I heard when I heard my stepson's wife speaking about teaching the subject of LGBTQ issues to her daughter. A young, impressionable girl under 10, how can that be age-appropriate? From a faith-based point of view, if you follow the Scriptures, this cannot be right. My granddaughter was shown a video of two men kissing like it is as normal as a man and a woman kissing. This is on the education curriculum, and one wonders what other perversions are being taught to kids in the UK.
The reality of what is wrong and right has shifted in the last 20 years. What was once regarded as abnormal is now normal, and what was once normal is now abnormal. What an upside-down world we have created.
For me, it all started in the 80s with artists like Elton John, George Michael, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, and Bronski Beat. Artists who pushed for gay rights, and that for a man to love a man or a woman to love a woman is just as normal as a man loving a woman and vice versa. Since then, gay marriage, adopting children, LGBTQ culture, etc, is now as normal as sliced bread.
Every June, we have a Gay or LGBTQ month, as Piers Morgan said, "Why do they need a month"? And, it's not just them having a month, we have a Black month, what's next, a Muslim month? Why do we always have to have months for this or that? I always emphasise that I recognise all people as human beings, and people will have views, lifestyles, cultures, etc, we either agree with or not. However, when groups like the LGBTQ community have come a long way, why do they still have parades, flags, their own areas, etc? They are equal to other citizens now, so why?
I get the fact that they would say it is to celebrate what they are, but why do their symbols and culture overspill into non-LGBTQ mainstream society? You see the NHS symbol with a rainbow flag? You see police vehicles carrying their flag with logos like "Policing with Pride". I understand they are a recognised group now, but why must their agenda be forced on us?
Pope John Paul, the beloved Polish Pope of many years ago, wrote a book. The book was about how as a lad in Poland he had lived through the tyranny of Nazism and Communism. Back in his day, political correctness, which has evolved into wokeism, posed a danger just as Nazism and Communism had in his time. Both these ideologies were, in his humble opinion, a Satanic tyranny of oppression and evil. He said that anything to do with Wokeism, which the LGBTQ banner comes under, would prove to be a form of tyranny and oppression. And so, it has come to pass that you cannot speak out against it. If you do, you are called "homophobe" , "Transgenderphobe", etc. You are cancelled and shunned because you have the guts to call out something you believe to be wrong. The old Pope was correct, the LGBTQ agenda and other forms of wokeism are evil and oppressive.
When you look at Wokeism, for everyone to be recognised and celebrated, it sounds good. However, when you realise it is certain groups that are allowed to have their time in the sun and not others, it is not equality and diversity at all. It is equality for some and inequality for others.
As with Nazism and Communism Wokeism has groups it oppresses, cancels, despises and if you happen to be one of those groups outside of their narative and disagree with them you can be thrown into prison, face a fine, or be blacklisted. I kid you not, the UK is such a place, and it is very worrying indeed.
However, people of faith for example, the refuseniks if you like, will keep the idea of freedom of speech and true equality burning bright no matter what happens.
