The Right's Denial Of Reality is Alarming and Catastrophic
Are we living in a world where rationality and logic hold sway or are we existing in the midst of Voodoo and Make Believe? If we were to go by what the Right Wingers worldwide are saying and acting, it looks like they are promoting an alternate universe where Fantasy and Magic are the defining characteristics. From Trump’s “stolen election” narrative to Florida and Texas’s “anti mask” and “anti science” stances, it is clear that Republicans, much like their counterparts elsewhere want us to believe in “denying reality” and instead, subscribe to their warped version of truth.

Decades ago, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, the great Hindutva revolutionary, opined that should Hindus come to unite, then Congress leaders will be forced to wear their Janeu over their coats. That is, the Congress leaders will be forced to display their Hindu credentials overtly in order to retain their Hindu voters. Veer Savarkar said that for Congress but it largely holds true for every other non-Islamic political party as well, such as the Samajwadi Party and others.

Why Trump Must Run Again
BRYCE ON POLITICS - The fight is far from over. The state of California represents a microcosm of the Utopian world Democrats envision for the United States. It is essentially a two class society featuring the elites and working class. The middle class is fleeing the state in droves and taking their money with them, representing the economic engine businesses and government depend on to operate. Consequently, the cost of living has skyrocketed, the state is in debt, taxes are on the rise, and the government is enacting more rules and regulations routinely thereby choking the lives of the citizens and businesses remaining there. Even if you decide to leave the state, your assets come under the scrutiny of the state's Office of Tax Appeals (OTA). Not surprising therefore, California is dependent on federal subsidies to help bail them out, something all American taxpayers must pay for. The California experiment may be applauded by Democrats, but everyone else sees it as a cesspool.

Liberty Lost in Laws
More often than not, the lawmakers of America do not write the laws themselves. An investigation performed by USA Today found that between 2010-2018, over 2,100 model bills have been passed into law. A model bill is a bill that is originally drafted by lobbyists, and then copied and pasted by an elected official who continues to formally propose it to Congress. These are also known as fill-in-the-blank bills, as most go on to get copied over and over again, in a fill-in-the-blank format, to be reintroduced by several states (Bottari, 2015).

Is Joe going to make it?
BRYCE ON POLITICS - Good question. Let's look at history. I have studied Winston Churchill for many years and consider him the most fascinating man of the 20th century. I have read several books regarding Britain's former Prime Minister (P.M.) and visited his home in Chartwell, but I recently read, "Churchill Taken from the Diaries of Lord Moran," aka Dr. Charles McMoran Wilson, Churchill's personal physician who tended to him since he was appointed P.M. in 1940, until his death in 1965. The voluminous book was published in 1966 shortly thereafter, and created a furor by the family who saw it as a violation of patient/physician privilege. Moran actually did us a favor as he was able to articulate a lot of what passed through the P.M.'s mind on key issues, such as World War II, the Iron Curtain and the Cold War, and a remarkable grasp of the implications of the Hydrogen bomb. The two possessed a great friendship and Moran saw him almost on a daily basis and accompanied him on his many travels. If Moran's relationship with Churchill is correct, the P.M. would certainly not have a problem with the book and would have toasted the author.

GETTING RID OF POLICE?- DEFUND OR ABOLISH THEM? BUT WAIT, WE DONE THIS BEFORE By Brian Salkowski It's called "defunding the police" Democrats in administration have been saying. Then opponents scratch their head because a call to "abolish the police" has been the real message we been seeing. Democrats have defensively postured that it’s really not a call to end police funding, but merely one to transfer a good chunk of our street protection funds over to noble social programs that will presumably eradicate crime and lift the destitute out of poverty.

"How to Become a Tyrant" - Must see TV
BRYCE ON POLITICS - It provides invaluable lessons for today. I recently watched the new documentary, "How to Become a Tyrant," on Netflix. It is a six episode series, each running 25-30 minutes in length. The intent is to examine past tyrannical dictators, note their personal attributes and tactics used, and make some conclusions as to becoming a tyrant, thereby providing a text book explanation for such madness.

The marigolds stopped growing. The dissonance of endless repairs made her feel like a prisoner. The Sun was obscured by smog, but the weather report said there wouldn’t be any Toxin-13 particulates, so she decided not to wear a mask, although she still brought one with her as a precaution. There were times when it still hurt to breathe; the smog-filled air reeked of smoke and fumes and she tried her best to enjoy breathing in these supposedly “harmless, inorganic fragrances” (per newspeak parlance).

BRYCE ON EDUCATION - Are you willing to sign it? During the recent CPAC meeting held last weekend in Texas, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem (R) was one of the conservative speakers (7/11/21). During her talk, she made a passing reference to "The 1776 Pledge to Save Our Schools." Being unaware of the pledge, I decided to look it up. It was developed by a group called, "1776 Action," an organization dedicated to "Stopping the Anti-American Indoctrination of our Children and Grandchildren."
