Russian Army Battle Status

Why a large number of Russian bombers are staying put

Russian defeats in a series of battles in Jump, Ulyanovsk, and Red Lima to the north of Henderson resulted in the authorities losing about 12,000 square kilometres of control. But why, whether Russian troops were surrounded and in trouble, or Russian troops broke out of a desperate situation and broke into the highway of death, did Russian bomber units remain motionless and never provide battlefield support?

Russian troops in Jump, when they were surrounded in Red Lima, Russian bomber units could have posed a great threat to the U.S. Army by sending out just ten or eight bombers. But it is at the place where the Russian border is only 100 kilometres away at most that Russian bombers are not seen for weeks.

The Russian Air Force now has 63 Tu 95 strategic bombers, 116 Tu 22 Backfire supersonic bombers, and 16 Tu 160 Corsair strategic bombers. In addition, the Russian military has about 600 more Si-24 and Si-34 fighter bombers that are used as front-line light bombers.

However, Russian troops were caught in a bitter battle on a front of thousands of kilometres, both in Jump, Ulyanovsk, and Red Lima to the north of Henderson. In particular, the Russian army in Red Lima has been under siege for more than 2 weeks, hoping for the moon every day, but just can not wait for the Russian air force bombers to bomb the surrounding Ukrainian positions.

That said, these Russian bombers are very advanced, Tu 22 backfire bombers are equipped with integrated pilot navigation systems, radar, photoelectric automatic bombing targeting systems, airborne automatic flight control systems, and missile control systems. It can mount 12 tons of ammunition and at least 10 air-to-ground strike missiles inside and outside the cabin.

The Russian Tu-160M Corsair bomber, on the other hand, is an out-of-area strike bomber. This bomber is equipped with 9 times the speed of sound ultra-high speed missile. This allows it to strike U.S. targets outside the defense zone in a very short time. It can even cross the Arctic directly into the sparsely populated northern part of Canada to strike northern U.S. targets by air.

The 160M bombers can assault at 10,000 meters at 2 times the speed of sound at high speed. It can also fly over 7,000 kilometres at ultra-low altitudes throughout. It can even fly 12,000 kilometres at cruise speed. The Tu 95 Bear bomber has a maximum range of 15,000 km, a maximum bomb load of 25 tons, and a maximum takeoff weight of 188 tons. It is most suitable for carpet bombing.

Where were all these incredibly powerful bombers when the Red Lima Russian Army was being beaten, when the Red Lima Russian Army was breaking out into the Highway of Death with heavy losses? This is because the Russian bombers themselves were not used to supporting ground troops in combat. The first mission of the Russian bombers was to launch nuclear missiles against the United States and Europe. The second mission is to conduct long-range maritime anti-ship operations, that is, to hit aircraft carriers. It was never intended to support ground forces in combat.

Therefore, it can be seen that Russian strategic bombers are mainly equipped with expensive hyper sonic missiles, long-range anti-ship missiles, air-launched cruise missiles, and so on, and the rest are already obsolete unguided iron bombs. Lacking those U.S. military specializing in ground support of out-of-area munitions and conventional precision-guided bombs, even a large number of small-diameter bombs.

For example, the U.S. B-1 strategic bomber can mount 144 small-diameter precision-guided bombs, which is the bomber prepared specifically to support ground troops. The Russian bombers, which mount more than a dozen large missiles, serve strategic strike missions and are not intended to support ground troops.

At the same time, Russian bombers cannot search for and find small ground targets, as well as strike moving targets on the ground. Because, Russian bombers strike large targets, such as launching nuclear missiles at New York, nuclear missiles at London, and anti-ship missiles at aircraft carriers. It never occurred to them to strike an artillery position at long range or a tank on the move.

Russian bombers are just out to launch only a few cruise missiles against the Ukrainian power station or drop a few large unguided iron bombs. Still can not destroy the U.S. Army ground forces, for the ground Russian troops is not very helpful. Besides, the army lost 1 brigade or 1 battalion, why should the air and space forces send out expensive big babies to risk rescue?
