Mamdani's Victory: Bitter/Sweet for Trump.
The Aftermath of Mamdani's Victory.

Zohran Mamdani, a true-blue socialist and unashamed Muslim, has rocked the American political scene to its foundations. Mamdani is charismatic and offers a different from that of Trump's MAGA America.
Mamdani right now is the poster boy of the Democratic Party. Young and fresh compared to his older rivals, Cuomo and the red-beret-wearing Sliwa. Now that Mamdani is the mayor-elect, he will be gathering his cabinet to put into place his policies. His relationship with Trump was already fraught with argument and counterargument. Their relationship, now that Mamdani has been elected mayor, will be toxic, and that's being kind.
For Donald J. Trump, Mamdani is everything he hates. Mamdani is an unrepentant Muslim and far-left self-described democratic socialist. Mamdani is not interested in billionaires like Elon Musk, who helped Trump into power. Mamdani's stated goal is to help the poorest in New York with things such as the cost of living and other things ordinary people face in everyday life. That was the ticket Mamdani was elected on, and now, over his tenure in City Hall, those who voted for him will be expecting to see Mr. Mamdani deliver. Mamdani, like any politician who promises this, that, and the other, will be judged not on what he says but on what he does. As James in the Bible said, "Words are nothing without action". That will determine whether he will get a second term in office.
Those who voted for Mr. Mamdani will be true believers. Some Republicans dissatisfied with Trump's policies may have held their noses and put an X in the box for Mamdani. A shot across Trump's bows that if the Republicans want to win the White House again, they had better improve. Or next time, the Democrats could be entering government. On the other hand, Mamdani's victory could be the greatest gift for Trump.
At the end of his first term, if successful, he may get a second term. Conversely, if his first term is a magnificent failure, then Trump will be able to say "I told you so".
Mamdani's Achilles heel will be his pro LGBTQ, immigrant, and other left-wing policies. Moderate Democrats and far-right Republicans will hate everything that Mamdani does. Trump might be sitting there in the White House waiting for Mamdani to slip up. Only time will tell how Mamdani's prospects go and how New Yorkers of every stripe will react to this incoming mayor.
In another election, a moderate Democrat won, so you have two Democratic victories. One in the form of Zohran Mamdani, a socialist called a Communist by Trump. And the other, as Piers Morgan said last night, was a victory for a female moderate Democrat. So, both wings of the party, the middle ground and the far left of the party, are alive and well. So are these victories something the Democrats can take as a way back to the White House in 2028?
Possibly, but there is a long slog ahead until 2028. Trump is unpopular in the latest polls, but his fortunes may turn around. This is where the Democrats are correct to be happy in their victory, but need to be wary.
Trump, under current US law, cannot stand for a third time. Would Trump try to change the law so he can run again for a third time? With the 'Orange One', I wouldn't put anything past him. But as the law stands today, he cannot run again. So, no doubt Vice-President J D Vance would be the Republican candidate. It's unlikely Mamdani would run for President by then. So the Democrats would have to find someone charismatic to go up against Vance.
Mamdani, like all young, bright things such as Tony Blair, Barack Obama, JFK, and Bill Clinton, will have a honeymoon period with the electorate. But no matter how well or how badly he does once in office, the sheen will eventually fall off Mamdani, and people will grow tired of him

People try yo make changes in government but find their hands tired by the very ones who should support them. older politicians dont want younger ones to succeed. Just watch them make his life miserable.
