The 'C' Word
They made us hold the name coolielike a cutlass it bit us coming to Guyana – From "Coolie" by Rajiv Mohabir For as long as I can remember, the word "coolie" has been thrown around casually when referring to Indo-Caribbeans—even by Indo-Caribbeans themselves. It was only a few years ago I learned the actual meaning and history behind the word, and I was extremely surprised. I had never considered what the word really meant, or where it had come from. It was always used loosely around me, so I didn’t think it came from a negative place.

Dear America...
Dear America, My name is Johnny Reed, a freelance Journalist from a city called Leeds in the UK, somewhere that geographically seems a million miles away from El Paso in Texas. Yet for some reason, today I can’t help but feel close to the Texan community in a way I never thought I would.

Top Three Avoidable Deaths *Must Read*
There are many dangerous things that creep along every crevice of this world. I think we are all fully aware that the world as we know it is slowly falling apart. It's a huge regression that people love to speak on but don't actually work to fix. For centuries this word has been slowly crumbling and becoming the number one source of our problems. How?

Why I Want to Run for President
First of all, I’m shy. I’m dreadfully shy. So nobody break down my email box with emails, please. I want to run for Governor of California and serve as the Senator of Los Angeles when I move to Sacramento, after getting my Ph.D. along with everything else, which is on my blog or Facebook page, and then I become a congressional representative in Washington, D.C. After that, the door is wide open to run for president. The old Man used to say that being president is a man’s job, and how dare I even think it?

Second 2020 Democratic Presidential Debate, Part 2 of 2
The headline of the second part of the Second Democratic Presidential Debate on CNN last night is that Joe Biden did a lot better than he did in the First Democratic Presidential Debate on MSNBC last month. He was still a little inarticulate at times, and a little too prone to let the moderators interrupt him, but he was very impressive. And so was just about everyone else on stage in Detroit tonight.

Have the Far Left Taken Over Green Movement?
Have extreme socialists taken over the “green” agenda? It is a historical norm for genuine public concerns and popular causes, to be taken over by political activists and usually by extremes of political view points. They then try to use the popularity of a cause to subvert democracy and gain both power and influence while hiding behind a genuine concern.

Second 2020 Democratic Presidential Debate, Part 1 of 2
I thought the first part of the second 2020 Democratic Presidential Debate, on CNN last night, was much better than the first part of the first 2020 Democratic Presidential Debate on MSNBC last month. By "much better," I mean that almost every candidate on the stage expressed her or himself better than what we saw last month.

Discussing the Importance of Respecting a Memorial (And How We Can Still Learn from the Yolocaust Project). Top Story - July 2019.
This June, before heading to a (blistering hot) Berlin, just a week earlier I found myself discussing the topic of respectful behaviour at memorials and sights of tragedy with friends. Our discussion was prompted by a recent tweet we had seen from the Auschwitz Concentration Camp. The tweet included pictures of visitors to the camp posing on the famous train tracks. The account (@AuschwitzMuseum) accompanied these photographs with the following caption:

The US Government Wants to Ramp Up DNA Testing at the Southern Border
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) have confirmed that they are using rapid DNA testing at seven locations along the US-Mexico border, in order to identify groups of people falsely claiming to be families. The technology can produce a result in around 90 minutes—compared to the previously used police testing process which would take weeks.

The True Leeches
(VLOG posted at the bottom for those who prefer to watch and listen rather than read.) Contrary to popular belief—to what the system propagates us to believe—the leeches aren't the individuals at the bottom of the pyramid seeking to take just a little in order to live their lives as comfortably as they can; the leeches aren't the people who have been forced to live passionless lives because the system that enslaves them steals from them any and all ability to pursue anything but slaving 60 to 80 hours a week at a job that means nothing to them, save providing them a sense of security and the ability to ensure food is on the table.
