Confirmed: Amy Coney Barrett
Washington, DC: Monday, with a clearly partisan vote 52-48, saw the bitterly divided United States Senate confirm Amy Coney Barrett to fill the Supreme Court vacancy left by the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Ginsburg, who died on Friday, 18 September 2020, was seen by many Americans as a liberal icon.

White Nationalism
Terrorism: The unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims. White Nationalism is a political view that the white race is superior to other races and a white national image should be upheld. White Nationalist groups include Neo Nazis, The Ku Klux Klan, anti-immigrant groups, Skinheads, and Alt-Right activists. Not all, but many of these groups and many in these groups commit what are known as hate crimes. Hate crimes are crimes motivated by racial, sexual, or other prejudice, usually involving violence. Hate speech is used by everyone in these groups to express their distaste for those who do not look like them. Even though it is not expressly stated in the name, many white nationalists also tend to be sexist and discriminatory to people in the LGBT community. White Nationalists are not frequently called, but are by definition, terrorists with the political goal of eliminating non white immigration and oppressing non whites through laws and fear. White Nationalism is possibly the greatest threat facing America today.

Quarantine
Like many people in the past month, I have forgotten what the sun looks like. Our current quarantine as a result of the Corona virus and the disease Covid-19 has led to many living a sort of half-life where many our unable to perform activities thought to be essential to life as they knew it. This climate is bound to breed the question of when this is going to end, but the answer is fairly complicated. Many states have opened public places under the #Liberate, only for a rush of new cases top spring forward as a result.

Piecing Together a Broken Society
Imagine you’re sitting on your couch, binge watching Netflix, and a tornado spawns on your area rug. You’d convince yourself you were seeing things, until the turbulent winds picked you up, couch and all, and tossed you skywards. You’d probably grip the couch for dear life, do your best to dodge the flying tchotchkes, and wait out this weird, unpredictable storm.

My Opinion On Why Some People Like Guns
Let me reiterate that this is my opinion about this phenomenon, an idea based on my observations of philosophies held by players in the criminal underworld about violence and the need for it. I can neither claim to have a complete explanation of why some people like guns, nor to have verified my beliefs about it.

When The Oppressed Want To Become The Oppressor.
Being oppressed, no matter what demographic you fall within, is a dehumanizing experience. Like all traumas, we all process things differently. For some of us, when we experience being oppressed, we actively do everything within our power to stop it from happening to others. Because we understand what it does to you negatively as a person, we would never inflict that on another and actively engage in destroying systems of oppression. However, there are some of us that choose to take a different path; the path of actually wanting to become the oppressor.

Voting with Reason: The Profound Work of the Ayn Rand Institute’s Push for Principles and Rights
How do you view the world? Do you see it as a glass half empty? Half full? Isn’t it true that for a glass to have water in the first place it must be filled half way and you can’t, by logic, empty a glass halfway with water? This is an example of a common misconception about philosophy. While it is demonstrably true about the glass always being half-full, there is so much more to ideas than thought experiments, and mind games, and seemingly impossible scenarios.
