How the Kennedy Curse Ruined a Family
The Kennedys are the closest thing the United States has gotten to a royal family. They have been prominent figures in American politics, business, public service and entertainment over the last 60 years. They even have their own coat of arms that was granted to President John F. Kennedy in 1961 by the Chief Herald of Ireland.

Why the end of Trumpism isn't The End
Joe Biden has won! Everywhere on social media, I see the world celebrating his return to the White House; and more importantly, rejoicing that Trump is finally out. Some people are throwing parties, other people are condemning those people … but what we all have in common is that 2020 has given us some good news, for once. But, because of that, it's easy to lose focus now.

The day democracy died
Every four years, we get to vote and choose the path of this great nation. from the white house to the house and senate to the local and state level, it is all propagated on the premise that we will actually get to have our voices heard. There is always rhetoric, and that rhetoric is always the same, seemingly. However, this time for possibly the first in my 40-year history on this earth, one side has actively and openly cheated and gotten away with it. One side is happy and the other is visibly and understandably upset, as is the case after every single election. Every candidate seems to promise things they know they can't possibly get done, but they promise it regardless and we believe it.

Being an Agnostic Moderate Conservative
Agnosticism and Leaning Right Politically There are obvious and not so obvious differences and challenges, when you are Agnostic and a moderate conservative. Of course, these things that I will mention would apply to anyone who is further right leaning than just, “moderate” and happens to also be Agnostic or a full Atheist. The simple truth is, we are treated rather differently inside of the Conservative and Republican world. I can honestly say that I have never been attacked or really berated because of my agnostic status, but you did get plenty of side-eye glances and “interesting” facial expressions when people find out.

The Pickup Truck Diaries: Gentrification and Poverty
I didn’t know which topic I would start The Pickup truck Diaries with first. At least not right away. Hell, I’m still trying to decide if I even bother to do any actual edits on these, and just give it to you raw.

We Have Work To Do
A big sigh of relief has swept over the nation today as Joe Biden is declared the next president of the United States. A tyrant had been running the show for the past for years and America finally decided to kick him off center stage. There is hope for the first time in what seems like forever! It seems like, for the first time in so long, we can finally again live up to our name, the land of the free.

I Voted
Growing up in the United States many of us were taught that America was a country where any would be welcome and where all cultures, beliefs, and forms of love and lifestyles could come together in peace. As we grew older, each of us learned in one way or another that this was not how the United States came to be, nor is it the country we live in today. Instead we have come to know a world where people hate incessantly due to differing beliefs and viewpoints, where others believe that they should have the power to choose how their neighbors live, and where people pick and choose what parts of another culture they will tolerate when all should be welcome to live how they like. Today our country is divided, and this division has been seen more prominently than ever with the recent election. People have forgotten that while the America we live in today is not what we were taught it was in school, it is still a possibility. If only each of us could try to understand rather than refute the unknown, could respond to differences with kindness rather than a closed mind, and could choose to allow others to live the way they choose without trying to impose their own viewpoints and beliefs on another’s way of life. The United States of America is meant to be a place where people have the freedom to make their own choices and to build their lives into what they have always dreamed they could be.

An Open Letter to President-Elect Biden
Dear President-Elect Biden, I want to congratulate you on your election to be the 46th President of the United States of America. It's hard to imagine what a sense of accomplishment one must feel to be elected to, what is viewed by many, as the highest office in the world. During a most interesting year, amidst all types of perilous conditions, it must feel all the sweeter. As you prepare for your inauguration, I hope that you feel the support of Americans and that you have ample time and space with your family to consider and reflect on this moment. Please, receive my words of congratulations among the many I'm sure you have already and will continue to receive.
