The Fourth Amendment
The 4th Amendment to the Constitution is about freedom from random arrests that do not make sense. Nobody can go into your home without a search warrant. The text is: “the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the person or things be seized.” The right to privacy without government intrusion is what this amendment is about. A person’s home is their castle. Some circumstances, however, if there is criminal activity, demand that the search is conducted.

When Activists Betray Us
We love our heroes. Fictional characters, our favorite teacher, celebrity activists ... we worship the people who inspire us to be better. We rely on them to give us faith that the world isn’t as cruel as it seems. When we feel that progress is being trampled, we look to them for reassurance.

I Want to Be a Slave
Pieces of cloth drifted to the floor like ash from a volcano. Neema Hudgins, in the basement to her family's modest three-story Wilmington, Delaware home, clipped and clipped until patches shown on the worn white dress. She had pressed the dress in muddy water overnight and dried it on the line overnight. Shabby and dingy, she slipped the piece of fabric over her body. She peered at herself in the mirror. What reflected back was an 18-year-old woman who had had enough. She ventured up the stairs. Her ascension in physical form deviated from the low grade that she had leveled herself. The first person to see her that morning was her brother Greer, age 16.

How the UK Poverty Problem Caused by a Faltering Government Is Being Overlooked
There is an issue in UK society which only tends to come into the spotlight when there is little else in the news. It is usually mentioned more around the festivities but with many political heads turning back towards Brexit after their much-deserved festive break, there is a need to address this issue now more than ever. Poverty and homelessness in the UK is an ugly scar on this government, but it seems like one which the Conservatives will forever show little empathy to.

Brazil's New Leader: Why the World Should Be Concerned
New Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro was officially sworn into office on New Year’s Day, confirming that he is determined to rid Brazil of corruption and promised to create a unified society. His racist, homophobic, and misogynistic attitudes made him a highly criticised figure through his campaign, but now he’s in the Palacio da Alvorada in Brasilia and 2019 will be the year for the former military leader to stamp his right-wing authority on the weakened South American state.

That Summer Wind
Oh! How I long for that summer wind. The gentle breeze warmed by the sun. In this troubled world one needs the sweet caress of that soft summer wind. Now, as another page of life turns fond memories rekindle precious moments that are now frozen in conscious thought. Whatever joy can be found today quickly is overwhelmed by the calculated callousness of a power structure that continues to whittle away those endeavors that would negate all the anguish throughout the world.

Sara's Untold Story
Introduction: This short fiction story/film is based on the real incidents happening to people who immigrated to this country from Pakistan. Well let's just say that, being an immigrant is not a big deal to most Americans. Most of the Americans, one way or the other, have some immigration background. In other words America is a country of immigrants. Just like in my short story, I will be telling you a story about a 14-year-old girl, name Sara Ali Khan who is originally from Pakistan and is currently living in Queens, New York since 2001.

Socialism, the Enemy of Creativity
There is understandable resentment about the governance of the western nations, but will socialism be an improvement? The very many people, who consider creativity to be the most important facet of human existence, fear socialism. It is feared that it is anti-creativity. It is a wholly negative view of the world. It has a main objective of bringing down those who enjoy wealth and privilege. It does not plan to bring everyone else up to that level. The whole philosophy is based on taking from those that have and giving it to “the state.” A body they control and by making everybody dependent on “the state,” they perpetuate the control they have and the power they wield.

Democracy in Venezuela
Below is a brief, but concise, opinion about the powers, such as the Legislative, Judicial, and Executive—which although they are the three main, are not the only ones in the country. I will also comment on the type of democracy that I observe currently in Venezuela.
