How to Look For Sustainable Clothing
Sustainable clothing is a cultural and political movement and conscious effort of promoting sustainable change to the apparel industry and fashion practices towards greater social justice and environmental integrity. Sustainable fashion also concerns more than mere addressing clothing materials or even product. It also tackles the social issues surrounding fashion like racism, sexism, socio-cultural and economic marginalization, and power and privilege.

A low-budget shopping on a go!
My wonderful husband, the crazy, goofy soul that he is.. decided that one day he wanted to get out of the house and let's do something, anything and with that, we grabbed the Banjo, jumped in the car, and headed down the hill to Palm Springs! We hit all the regular haunts we normally go to on these jaunts down the “HILL”, Starbucks of course! then we stopped by Guitar Center, to see if by chance they could repair our beloved Banjo, so once again Hank could start back to practicing and keeping a promise he made. When we left, with great joy I can announce that it was successful and for a simple $5 too! The pickin’ can begin!

The Thrift Store Twirl
There's something therapeutic and adventurous about going to a thrift store, or a little shop that is filled with relics. I sometimes wonder if it's a spiritual thing--the nostalgia of something that once was. A whole life lived. Stories untold.

My SECRET WEAPON at the Thrift Store
Once upon a time, a nuclear reactor broke down. The technicians had worked and worked to repair but finally called in an outside expert. The expert walked around the reactor, focused on a spot and, gave the reactor one swift kick. It started up, whirring and purring like normal. When the bill arrived, the technicians were shocked. It was for $15,000! The Head Tech phoned the expert and demanded an explanation. "All you did was kick it", he exclaimed. Slowly and confidently, the expert responded, "Ah, but you have to know WHERE to kick it!" The bill was paid promptly.
