How to Save Money on SHEIN?

If you want to buy clothes or other items at an affordable price from any part of the world, SHEIN is the place for you. Aside from having many retail items on their website and app, they also provide different ways to save money. As a customer myself who has saved almost 200 euros from purchases made on SHEIN, I will show you 6 different saving methods that you can also use on your next SHEIN purchase.

Let's get started.

1. Using SHEIN voucher codes

There are five ways in which you can earn voucher codes:

1. Creating an account: New users get additional discounts with their first order. For example, it shows a 10% off on my first purchase on my account. If you are a student, you can create an account using your student email, which will give you additional voucher codes. But, the downside of doing this is that you might not have access to it anymore once you have graduated. The bottom line is to have one main account to collect the voucher codes.
2. Downloading the app: The SHEIN app is available for download on the apple and play store. It currently shows a discount of 15% on my first purchase through the app. But, of course, this amount might change or differ depending on your location.
3. Referring a friend: You only need to share your unique link, and you will get a voucher code of 15%, while your friend will receive a 10% discount which can be used for the next order. So, a win-win situation!
4. Playing games on either the website or app: The game seems to be seasonal. For example, the current game is called "catch the gifts" and features a snowman with a snow background. As the game's name already suggests, you have to catch gifts. The more gifts you catch, the higher the discount you will get (discount code provided at the end). In my case, I reached level 280, which was 12% on purchases above 39 euros. If you want to play the game, too, you can access it by tapping the moving snowman on the bottom right corner of your screen.
5. Using Honey or similar discount code extensions/websites: These extensions/websites provide discount codes that have been shared by other users. You just need to copy and paste the code during the checkout process. Some might not work, so feel free to test several discount codes until you find one that works or benefits you the most.

2. Getting SHEIN points

For every 100 points you will receive 1 dollar. This will convert differently if you have chosen another currency. To earn SHEIN points on the app and/or website, you can use one of the following five ways:

1. Reviewing products you have previously bought: If you give your rating, insert text and attach images, you will get the maximum points. The maximum amount depends on the item.
2. Checking in consecutively for 7 days: Daily points can range from 1 to 10, with surprises of additional points in between.
3. Joining the outfit event: Where you can suggest different outfits. Based on the leaderboard or the editor's pick/favorite, you will earn 100 to 1000 points.
4. Joining the live streams: Where you can snatch a treasure box up to 400 points or share the live stream to get 5 points per joined user.
5. Joining the show contest: Where you upload a photo of you using the product. If you are chosen by the editor, you will gain 50 points.

Remember that the SHEIN points have an expiry date, so make sure they are used before they expire.

3. Avoiding shipping costs

If you order a minimum amount, you will get free shipping. You can see the minimum amount on the website/app or when checking out.

4. Check the sales

On SHEIN, there are different types of sales. For example, the Flash Sale lasts 24 hours or regular seasonal sales such as the Winter Sale. Each sale type is shown on a different SHEIN website/app category.

5. Signing up to SHEIN's Mailing List

By joining their mailing list, you will be the first to know about current exclusive offers and sales. Also, based on your preferences, you will get some additional tailored offers.

6. Using the Free Trial Center

I honestly didn't know about this until recently, but on the website or app, there is an option where during the time frame of 7 days, you can choose 3 items to get for free. If you win, you will get the chosen item and only need to review it. Also, you will get 20 points for reviewing the product, and if your review is very good, it is increased to 100 points, and you will get the chance to be selected again for free items. Not a bad deal, after all.

Extra: Re-check your order

The first return is free, but you will have to pay an additional amount for each return ticket received after that. So, always check if the amount and size of the product in your cart is correct. I usually check the reviews and the size guide to ensure that it truly is what I expect.
