veteran
It's imperative to look up to and learn from army veterans; only then can we truly understand the sacrifices made by men and women in uniform.
Happy Birthday Mikey
Chance brought the three together, friendship formed a spiritual bond that would last throughout their lives. Dan, the son of a Boston factory worker; Mikey, whose family were Cajun shrimpers from Louisiana; and Luis, a first generation American from California, met at the Army’s AIT (Advanced Infantry Training) school. Even though they haled from different parts of the country the trio shared many similarities, including the exact same birthday. The primary reason the three had for enlisting was to create a better life for themselves and their families. If the road to accomplishing that goal wound its way through the jungles of Vietnam, then so be it.

Risked It All – Don’t Disrespect the Flag Tee
iting> Link to buy : US Veteran If You Haven’t Risked Coming Home Under A Flag Don’t You Dare Disrespect It Unisex Shirt This isn’t just a quote. It’s a truth spoken by those who’ve worn the uniform, stood in harm’s way, and lived with the weight of knowing some brothers and sisters never made it back. For veterans, the flag is more than patriotic decoration — it is a daily reminder of the price of freedom.

Warfare Movie Review
Modern war films have several creative choices to make; do they delve into the physical and mental degeneration of soldiers or plant the viewer into a place they would never venture? Warfare from Alex Garland and former serviceman Ray Mendoza opts for the latter approach and strikes harder than many of its contemporaries.

A new U.S. Air Force analysis recommends continuing the development of NGAD, as well as terminating the NGAS stealth tanker program which was supposed to support the next gen fighter in contested airspace.
The United States Air Force (USAF) has recently concluded a comprehensive analysis of two major developmental programs: the Next-Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) fighter and the Next-Generation Air Refueling System (NGAS) stealth tanker. After months of internal discussions and strategic reviews, the Air Force has decided to continue the development of the NGAD while recommending the termination of the NGAS program. This decision underscores a shifting perspective on how aerial dominance and refueling strategies will evolve in contested environments, particularly in the face of growing technological advancements and budgetary constraints.

Pakistan marks anniversary of shooting down Indian fighter jets.
Pakistan marks anniversary of shooting down Indian fighter jets. On February 27, 2019 Pakistan marked a significant moment in its military history commemorating what it describes as a successful defense operation against Indian aggression. This event known as Operation Swift Retort is remembered as the day when the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) responded to India’s airstrikes in Balakot by engaging and shooting down two Indian fighter jets escalating tensions between the two nuclear armed neighbors. As Pakistan observes the anniversary of this event it highlights the nation’s military preparedness and resolve to defend its sovereignty. The events of February 2019 were set in motion a day earlier when Indian warplanes crossed into Pakistani airspace and dropped bombs in Balakot claiming to have targeted a terrorist training camp. India’s actions came in response to the Pulwama attack which had occurred on February 14, 2019 in which over 40 Indian paramilitary personnel were killed in a suicide bombing. India held Pakistan responsible for harboring the militant group responsible for the attack an allegation Pakistan strongly denied. The airstrikes by the Indian Air Force (IAF) marked the first aerial intrusion into Pakistani territory since the 1971 war significantly raising tensions between the two nations.

Dear Friend
Introduction This is an attempt at a plagiaristic poem using the words in the waiting room at Preston Station where I am once a month. Although I will try to stitch them into a series of rhyming quatrains, I will post this in Serve rather than Poets as I feel that is more appropriate, though it does mean I have to flesh it out to six hundred words.

Duty, Loyalty, Integrity, and Courage.
What are you loyal to above all else? I received a lovely Secret Santa gift yesterday, a writer's prompt book. Today, I rolled some random numbers to decide which prompt to write on and this is what the universe came up with. I laughed, because this question is so relevant in my life right now, considering the things that are happening to me at work, the time of year, and the hardships I can’t seem to shake.

I Stand for The Flag
At 0800, I jumped out and down from my big diesel redneck rig. As soon as my feet hit the pavement, I hear 'morning colors' start to play in the distance. I immediately turn smartly to the direction the music is coming from and stand quietly at attention while paying my respects to the Flag and National Anthem. It's been a while since I've had to render this required military custom. I have been retired from the U.S. Navy for over 3 years now, and just over a year ago, I took a position as a senior Manpower, Personnel, and Training (MPT) analyst for the Navy, which brought me back to the Ventura, CA naval base I retired from in June of 2021 after a 24 year career. Even though my work has me back on a military installation, I normally miss the daily ritual of our colors being raised smartly to our national anthem, because I usually began my day in the office at 0700. However, on this Friday I wanted to spend an extra 30 minutes with Kai, my 13 month old Golden Retriever, at the park during our morning walk.
