Post Traumatic Stress Disorder; The storm after the storm.
Negativity Killing My Vibe
Everyone says that America has bad reputation for new immigrants. My husband because of his skin tone he fears he will be beaten and killed by corrupted police, and government officials in power. Yet he is willing to put his fears aside to make sure we can both have a good life in America. His fears are common though racism is everywhere.

Unseen Unheard
Feelings arise within me feelings of bitterness when I can't share how I feel so writing how I feel about everything will be shared on this blog, and diaries. The bitter stares of in her eyes, and complaints from the masses like her.

A Beacon Of Light While My World Fell Apart
The picture you see above was taken in December of 2014. It is nearly 8 years old and yet, to this day, it is my signature photo. I use it as my profile picture here on Vocal, as well as Instagram and Facebook… and Google/Youtube… pretty much everywhere I have an active presence online. “Back To The Manger” was the name of the play… the annual Christmas play my church puts on every year. That night still stands out as my favorite memory in all of the nearly 25 years I’ve been a part of my church. The photograph itself is a reminder of that night, which served as a beacon of light while at the same time my world was crumbling down all around me.

The Behaviour of Caribbean Lifestyle
This is probably one of the hardest pieces I've ever had to write just now. There are a lot of triggers for while writing this it's been difficult for me to leave my home because others make fun of me and how I look. I went through that in high school, what is the Caribbean an high school after party that never ends. I've never had a spot in this house to call my own until now.

Why I am raising money for “Young Minds” charity.
It is not a secret for anyone at this point that I feel very strongly about the subject of mental health, as well as destroying the stigma that surrounds it. I mean, it even says in my bio, both here and on Instagram that I am a mental health advocate. And since I started a fundraiser for YoungMinds charity on my birthday last month, I thought this is a good time to elaborate on the subject a bit more. To make it more personal, more transparent. To tell a story about a real life experience.

How to Overcome Feeling Hopeless?
In 2013, I was diagnosed with bipolar, and PTSD. Throughout, my life nothing came easy to me. As it never does for others. My only escape was writing it became my true passion, and no my full-time workaholic career.
