A Tribute to Luigi
Ever have someone ask, “what drives you?” Whether in a job interview, in some sort of mental health consultation, or anywhere else that question might be appropriate. I find that it often pops up in job interviews, and I wonder each time what exact answer they are seeking. Are they hoping you will say the desire to work for the company drives you? Or the desire to make money? There does not seem to be an appropriate answer to the question. Either you are driven by greed, the desire to please a corporate machine, or by a desire unrelated to the job in question. The likely answer for most individuals is family or love.

Why I am raising money for “Young Minds” charity.
It is not a secret for anyone at this point that I feel very strongly about the subject of mental health, as well as destroying the stigma that surrounds it. I mean, it even says in my bio, both here and on Instagram that I am a mental health advocate. And since I started a fundraiser for YoungMinds charity on my birthday last month, I thought this is a good time to elaborate on the subject a bit more. To make it more personal, more transparent. To tell a story about a real life experience.

How Often Is ADHD Diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder?
I have Bipolar Disorder II and ADHD. ADHD was evident when I was a young child. I was always bouncing off of the walls. It was always said that I was “just a hyperactive child,” but that was the 80s when a child that talked too much and too fast and couldn’t sit still and focus was simply called “hyper.” Hyper kids were punished back then because it was seen as misbehaving.

It Was an Unseasonably Cold Day for a Funeral. Top Story - September 2022.
I drove by his house today. For years I pulled into that driveway to pick him up for school. He usually ran a little late, and I can picture him running out the front door with his backpack hanging open, and his arms full of books.

I Turned 34 on September 1st
My 34th birthday just passed on September 1st. I wasn't even going to celebrate but my best friend wasn't having it -"You aren't doing anything for your birthday?!"- She booked me a one-way ticket up to NYC and reminded me what it feels like to be surrounded by love.
