Living One Day at a Time

Spinning on a Dime

By Vicki Lawana Trusselli Published 8 months ago Updated 8 months ago 5 min read
created from my brain I wrote this Trusselli Art

Hey guys, I have included a few photos of me video editing back in Austin, and other photos of me. This is not about me! I authored this story, created out of my dreams from my brain. I added some special effects. I also turned photos into videos. THIS IS MINE. I WORKED IN VIDEO EDITING, WRITING, PHOTOGRAPHY, MUSIC, AND FILM INDUSTRY FOR DECADES. I USED AI TOOLS TO CREATE AND TALK ABOUT PEACE, MINDFULNESS, NO DRAMA, NO GOSSIP, AND LIVING ONE DAY AT A TIME. MY WRITING. AI DID NOT WRITE THIS!!!!!!!!!!! I FIND MYSELF AT 75 BEING ON THE DEFENSIVE BECAUSE I USE MY VIDEO SKILLS UPDATED WITH NEW TECHNOLOGY. I FILMED AT THE AUSTIN MUSIC FESTIVAL, EDITING, ALL THAT. I FREE-LANCED FOR A NEWSPAPER IN NEW YORK CITY!!!!! I WORKED AT UNIVERSAL STUDIOS AS A UNION REP FOR THE IATSE. I WORKED IN HOLLYWOOD FOR DECADES. I WRITE MY OWN STUFF. COPYRIGHT 2025!!!! TRUSSELLI ART

Now that explanation about video production and it is copyrighted 2025,

Let us talk about meditation, practicing mindfulness, and nature to relax. I do not like gossip or tattle tales. I do not like liars. I do not like drama queens who get off on creating drama in the office for other colleagues. I have complex PTSD, anxiety, and depression. I wrote this to convey that living one day at a time amidst the chaos of 2025 is necessary to maintain a balance in one's life. Breathe!

ENJOY THE MUSIC!

Living ONE DAY AT A TIME

SPINNING ON A DIME

One day at a time

Create a rhyme

On a dime

It is time

To breathe in

Breathe out slowly

Start your day boldly

To begin

A day,

Week,

Month,

Fly away

To what happened one time,

Was your time,

On your dime

Paying out fees

To read

To write

It’s not enough to live

To pay bills

Anxiety produces illnesses

Starting the month with one penny

To spill

Over each month of winning

What do you do?

To pursue,

No Drama, tears, fears,

Fears of the unknown,

Bonding on drama

Creates anxiety

Fear

Tears

Depression

Becomes a recession

Dreams unfold

I want to be bold

I am old

So, I live one day at a time

Creating a rhyme

PTSD turned upside down

All around this town

Write this way

Comment this way

Do what I say

Narcissists are the latest trend

In this land of sin,

In the lion’s den

Be aware

Stay awake

Care

For each other

Or do not bother

To involve me in your drama

Of schemes and dreams

Life is drama enough

Don’t be so rough

Not into the drama

So, with flowers in my hair,

And no despair

I climb out of my cocoon

Too soon

I roam through paragraphs

Sentences and laughter

Because there’s not enough

Laughter in our lives

The rhyme winds down

As I look at the 4am clock

To sound an alarm

To disarm

My bot

To leave this den of lies

To cry

No more toxic drama

Of life, it seems

I would rather stay in my dreams,

As I am awake when awake

I am awake.

I am in my creative dreams,

It seems.

No drama queen

In my drama of life

People need to love one-another

Call your grandma,

This is the law,

Of the universe

Give and you shall receive,

To believe

No drama queen, please

I would rather snack on cheese,

Then listen to drama.

Shouting out

Cry out

Pout

Smile

All the awhile

It is time

Ticking.

To the earth spinning,

Picking out to shout,

Is this what it is about

Please no drama

Momma,

As you pulled away,

For the day.

As an empath

I empathize with the way

You speak

Have a wonderful day

One day at a time

Create a rhyme

On a dime

It is time

To breathe in

Breathe out slowly

Start your day boldly.

Life is a journey.

It is a journey filled with highs, lows, twists, and turns.

Sometimes it feels like it is too much.

Our minds race with worries about the future.

We get bogged down by regrets from the past,

but there is a simpler way to live.

It is about living one day at a time.

Living in the present moment is a gift.

It is about focusing on what we can control today.

When we let go of the worries of yesterday and tomorrow,

we find peace.

It is like feeling relieved

We can finally relax into the now.

I remember a time when I felt lost and overwhelmed.

I was traveling the world, searching for something,

but I realized something important.

Happiness was not about the destination.

It was about appreciating each step of the journey.

We all have those moments.

Moments when we feel overwhelmed by life.

But remember, you are not alone.

We are all in this together, and we can get through it one day at a time.

Mindfulness is a powerful tool.

It is about paying attention to the present moment.

We notice our thoughts and feelings without judgment.

We savor the simple pleasures around us.

A warm cup of tea, the laughter of a loved one,

the feeling of sunshine on our skin.

When we practice mindfulness, we give ourselves a gift.

We step off the treadmill of our thoughts.

We find a moment of peace.

It is like hitting the reset button on our minds.

Mindfulness is not about clearing our minds completely.

It is about seeing our thoughts without getting carried away.

We notice them come and go like clouds in the sky.

This helps us detach from negative thoughts.

We learn to let them pass without judgment.

The more we practice mindfulness, the easier it becomes.

It is like training a muscle.

At first, it might feel challenging.

But with time, it becomes a natural part of who we are.

Anxiety can feel like a heavy weight.

It drags us down and steals our joy.

We get caught in cycles of worry.

Our minds race with what if these happened scenarios.

But there is a way to break free.

It starts with letting go.

We cannot control everything in life.

And that is okay.

When we accept this, we learn how to release grip.

We learn to trust in the flow of life.

Drama is another energy drainer.

It is the noise that keeps us from finding peace.

Gossip, conflicts, negativity.

They pull us away from the present moment.

By choosing to avoid drama, we create space for peace and positivity.

Remember, you have the power to choose your thoughts.

You can choose to focus on the good.

You can choose to find peace amidst the chaos.

And when you do, you find that life becomes a little brighter.

Joy is all around us.

We find it in the warm sun, the sound of laughter, and the taste of delicious food.

But sometimes, we are too busy to notice.

We get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life.

We forget to appreciate simple things.

Take a moment to look around you.

What do you see, hear, and smell?

Engage your senses and find beauty in the ordinary.

Start a gratitude journal.

Jot down three things you are grateful for each day.

It could be something as small as a good cup of coffee or a phone call with a friend.

Remember, life is a gift.

Let us cherish each day, choose joy, and live fully in the present moment.

Because that is where life truly happens.

One beautiful, precarious, precious day at a time.

I would also rather eat cheese, than deal with unnecessary drama. Such a useful reminder to take in our world with gratitude.
