Being good-tempered is not a character, it's a wisdom
A wise man is not without a temper, he just never loses it.

The famous playwright George Bernard Shaw once said that the best-tempered person in a crowd is often the most uncomplicated.
Some people have little ability and a big temper, always giving people the impression of incompetence and rage;
On the contrary, those who have made something of themselves show calmness to people and things.
The difference between the two types of people seems to be a difference in character, but it is actually a difference in perception.
Just as a verse says: "When there are many roots of wisdom, the temper is soft; when the door of obstacles is open, anger arises.
No matter what a person's personality is, when he has enough wisdom, he will know how to restrain his emotions and always keep a good temper.
Writer Hu Mingyu once went on a business trip with his colleagues.
After arriving at the hotel, his colleague found that the air conditioner would not turn on, and he was so angry that he smashed the remote control.
The colleague said to him, "I'm just impatient, don't take it personally."
Hu Mingyu did not say anything, but opened the drawer of the nightstand and found a pair of batteries and handed them to his colleague.
He later mentioned this incident in "Controlling Emotions", saying:
"If he [the coworker] had known that the hotel occasionally took the batteries out of the remote control, would he have lost his temper because he couldn't turn on the air conditioner?"
Why should a person lose his temper if he can easily solve the problems he encounters?
In other words, the essence of losing one's temper is that one is not wise enough to deal with the situation at hand.
Just because you can't think of a better way to deal with the situation, you can only vent.
Green was once one of the best basketball players in the United States, but was also known for his temper tantrums.
In the Game 4 series of the 2016 NBA Finals, he helped his team lock up an early win with his outstanding play.
With two minutes left in the game, he fell to the ground during a scramble.
It occurred to a player on the opposing team that Green already had 3 technical fouls from the previous game.
As soon as he accumulated 4 technical fouls, he would receive a suspension according to the league's rules.
So that player in order to provoke Green, intentionally while Green has not yet stood up, lifted his foot from him across the body.
Green felt insulted, did not even think about it, rushed forward to pull up with the other side.
And this is exactly what the other side wants.
As a result, both were sentenced to a technical foul, but only Green was penalized with a suspension and had to miss the next game.
The opponent seized the opportunity to pull off three consecutive games, making Green's team and the championship lost.
After the game, Green also regretted saying, "If it all repeated itself, I'd still be angry, but obviously I'd express my emotions in a smarter way."
Often, the things that happen to us are not complicated in themselves.
But once you lose your head, it is easy to get emotional and let things get out of control, disrupting your life and work.
Hong Yingming, a scholar of the Ming Dynasty, once said that a person with an irritable temperament accomplishes nothing.
People with a bad temper are, in the end, paying for their own low cognition.
The EPL channel has conducted a personality survey of soccer coaches of major European clubs.
In the end, it was found that most of the impatient coaches were young coaches.
But whenever there is an unexpected situation, they can't help but yell and scream.
And the more senior coaches, the more easy-going they are.
They have been in the field for a long time, they are not surprised by all kinds of emergencies, even if the players made a mistake, they also like to point out in a joking way.
In this relaxed atmosphere, players are more likely to play the real strength, the team can often achieve better results.
Impatience stems from shallowness, and goodness is based on insight.
When you are young and vigorous, you like to go toe-to-toe when things are not as good as you want them to be.
Experienced things more, can be full of accidents in life, polished a kind of calm posture.
In 1937, Liang Shiqiu moved to a residence in Beibei, Chongqing, to escape the war.
The place was leaking, the floor was uneven, it was difficult to set up a table, and the bedroom was infested with mosquitoes.
Liang Shiqiu, who was only 33 years old at the time, felt disturbed in this environment every day.
When the neighboring tenants made a little noise, he felt that they were intentionally disturbing him, and he would not give up until he had made a lot of noise with them.
However, as he stayed longer, he gradually realized that he did not have to lose his temper to solve many unbearable things.
The house is dilapidated, on all sides of the bamboo gabions can also be sheltered from the wind and rain;
Mosquitoes are certainly rampant, the solution is just to hang a net;
Neighbors talk too noisy, then hold a book to the hill, but can sit and look at the moon, enjoy the seclusion.
Years later, Liang Shiqiu, who was not confused, recounted the past.
The once tattered and noisy humble abode became "a lovely elegant house with a lovely personality" in his writing.
He himself, too, has transformed from a rash young scholar into a humorous and wise literary master.
In this world, no one can make the day go by smoothly.
Instead of getting hysterical over bad things, we should be calm and peaceful and deal with the storms of life.
When you use growth to support the eye, those who make you angry experience, since it will become light.

Russell once said: the good or bad temper is inversely proportional to the knowledge of the facts, the less you know about the facts, the easier it is to lose your temper.
All emotional problems are nothing but the lack of wisdom.
So if one day those various people and things that were once unbearable no longer sway you.
It's not that your character has changed for the better, it's that you've reached a higher level.
