About To Die
Life became meaningless for me but……

I was a boy who was loved and respected by everyone in society. Life was most beautiful for me. I was enjoying every second of life, but one day what happened was quite strange. First of all, I was not able to eat anything, was not sleeping well, became afraid of sleep, my senses were not in my control, and was thinking that I am about to die and was lying on the bed all the time.
I belonged to a developing country, where less attention is given to mental health care, even most doctors are unaware of such psychological issues. Most people in our society suffer from such psychological issues but they try not to consult an expert in the metropolis because other people will think he has gone mad.
I consulted my family doctor but he was not able to understand my condition nor my family was helping me in such condition because all of my friends and family were not aware of how to help such individuals which have mental issues, but I thought that life and become happier and worth living once again. I was with difficulties started reading out blogs on mental health, then one article, I found that it is depression, which has affected me in many ways.
When I knew, it is depression then I sought out a way to cope with it. There were many articles that suggested me helpful practices which changed my life. After 15 days, I recovered a lot any my worst mental health conditions were much better than life was at its root.
Now, I have completed my bachelor, and have studied much about psychology to help my friends and family. On daily basis, people are who are being depressed come and get suggestions from me and I also consult their families as they also have to play a pivotal role in it. The government is not paying attention to it but we are doing what is in our hands instead of crying.
Let me tell you about conditions of mental health in developing counties.
There are about 152 developing countries in the world, besides other differences mental health conditions are very much different. In developed countries, mental health is being entertained and given high priority while in most of the developing countries mental health conditions are not entertained at all. It is an alarming situation for all of us because people are suffering badly from it. About 70% of suicides are caused by depression and other mental problems.
I live in a country that is developing so there is no proper attention to mental health at all. Many of my friends suffered a lot from psychological issues. There are no proper hospitals to treat such issues, even people are aftaid to visit the doctor because people of society call them as mad. These are negative factors of society as a result of this people continuously suffer and they never share with anyone.
A few days ago, I met a doctor and discussed that what to do such issues are increasing but he said it is not his business. Most of the doctors even call people mad. Instead of this, they should take it normally. In the metropolis, many doctors are available whose charges are expensive, which are only for the wealthy people but what about other members of society, do they have not right to proper health and care.
In conclusion, I know how much it hurts but if proper attention is given and all family members and friends play their role, individuals may recover from such issues in a few days but if it is not taken seriously it may become fatal. All of us have to play our part to support our family and friends even.
