Perfect Frozen Cocktails to Make at Home
The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo's 'Diamonds Is Forever Martini' is the world's most expensive cocktail. They claim this title with the $18,500 cocktail set with a one-carat diamond for a garnish. However, those of us who don't quite have that much spare change may wish for an easier way to get our cocktail fix.

To Kir, or Kir Royale?. Top Story - July 2021.
Despite being the plebeian I am, I have been fortunate enough to have traveled well-beyond where I was born here in the United States of America. In fact, I can't actually remember the state where I was born. I was too young, and we moved when I was six months old due to my father being re-stationed. He was in the military.

Edible Cocktails?
Possibly the most riffed on classic - The Penicillin cocktail - is without a doubt in need of a modernist revival! A simple blend of scotch whisky, lemon juice, honey, and ginger syrup, once used for its perceived medicinal properties, has been twisted, turned, shaken, and stirred, to create a plethora of variations.

Pitcher Cocktails With Rum
Craft cocktails are perfect for nights out, but when you’re throwing a party you might want to ditch perfection in favor of spending more time with your guests. Big batch cocktails stirred up and served up in crowd-sized containers take the pressure off making sure everyone has a drink and let you enjoy yourself. They’re also just as tasty as single cocktails.

It's weird to think about drinking in high school as "something we just did." There's so much talk about getting kids to "just say no" to drugs and alcohol. I'm sure that every generation thinks that they're different, but we drank and didn't do stupid stuff. Sure we were capable of it, but most of us didn't do dumb shit. We drank, got drunk and usually passed out wherever we were. But I enjoyed drinking alcohol in high school and beyond. I've been drinking for a long time and I thought that I had had most of the drinks that had been created. Drinks with Everclear (Woof!). Drinks with Malort. (Ewww!) And everything in between. I wasn't even much of a beer connoisseur. I drank Milwaukee's Best in high school and college. And I pretty much stuck to Calvert and coke if I wanted something a little harder. Today I drink craft beers which totally doesn't seem like me, but I love them! Most of them are pretty hoppy, which is nothing like Milwaukee's Best or any other domestic beer for that matter, but I feel like I'm more of an adult when I drink these beers. I also feel like an adult when I drink cocktails. I'm still not much of a mixologist as I tend to stick to simple drinks these days. Beer. Dirty Martini. Straight bourbon. But I am always game for an interesting drink and I'm willing to try just about anything. (I mean, I tried Malort.)
