alcohol
All about the effects of alcohol on the mind and body, and what a drinker should expect from a sip, or ten, of the hard stuff.
I Should Have Died That Night
I went through a phase. I was sad. Not a "boohoo no one likes me" kind of sad, but a deep, bone-settled kind of melancholy. I was at a small college in San Francisco. A 24-hour plane ride from home with a 15-hour time difference, piled with a huge school workload, NCAA basketball regime and underlying clinical depression; I was not in a good place. Wait, the phase? Drinking to the point of unconsciousness. I look back with dismay but also a good sense of humour.

I Nearly Died
I just came out of the womb unlucky. I wish I was joking but I really am not. I come from Yorkshire, and you know that if something is going to happen whether it be funny, bad or dangerous, then chances are that it will happen to me. I mean, I've always been a very boisterous kid, very rough and tumble and, most of all, just straight-up clumsy. All of this I find funny, so don't feel bad if you laugh, its all good.

Best Low-Calorie Tequila Brands
You may not know it, but tequila is the best spirit. If you already knew that then congratulations, you are ahead. If you are shaking your head right now, you probably only associate tequila with bad memories or shots preceded by salt and followed with a lime.

Best Ready to Drink Margaritas
I love to drink. Though I love to drink just about anything given to me during a party, cocktails are my favorite. And, of all the cocktails I enjoy, margaritas, in particular, hold a special spot in my heart. In fact, I'll even admit that I'd be a permanent resident of Margaritaville if that was an option.

Top Shelf Cures. Top Story - July 2017.
When I was six or seven, my parents went out to celebrate an anniversary and left our grandmother to watch my brothers and me. Grandma Jean is British, and when I was little I loved this the most about her. She brought chocolate Smarties and Noddy books back for us in her luggage and made us afternoon tea. I spent so much time reading British books, in fact, that I was often corrected at school for using a ‘u’ in the word 'color.'

The Infinite Loop of Drinking and Depression
I've struggled with depression for pretty much my entire life. Over the years I feel as though I've gotten better at managing it but I suppose the disappointing reality is that it still feels ever present and part of me wonders if I will spend the rest of my life feeling this way.
