An LGBTQ+ Writers group
I wanted to write a quick write up about a group I found on Meetup.com that I feel is a fun group to spend time writing with. 3 out of 4 weeks they write Ekphrastically, meaning they write after viewing a piece of art, or a painting, the other 1 week out of 4 they do poetry sharing. Well, actually every week includes some amount of poetry sharing.

Simple Man
As I get older, thoughts like this start creeping in—what do I want the world to remember about me? What’s the one thing that should last long after I’m gone? And then it hit me. If there were one song to be played at my funeral, one song that truly captures the essence of my life, it would be Simple Man. That’s it. That’s what I want to leave behind. Success? It fades.
