Growing Pains of Self-Imagery & Gender Dysphoria
As a transgender author and transformative life coach, I'm not going to give you the same meat-and-potato-food-for-thought that many others successfully provide to the internet. This is more like a juice cleanse; the only appetizing part about it is that you know you need it and will feel way better after you do it, and the digestibility of the content is based on your willingness to drink the dang drink or throw it out. Here's the good news, I am happy to provide you with the drink! I'll make it taste as good as it can while making sure you get those much-needed nutrients, and of course, it'll be made with love. So, let's discuss the fun topic of self-imagery and gender dysphoria!

Haunted Lives. Top Story - June 2022.
We all live haunted lives. I'm not necessarily talking about spirits lurking around corners (although for some of us, I'm sure that's the case). What I'm referring to is the acute sense of loss & mourning that lingers after we pass from one phase of our lives to another. It's that familiar ache as you look around your empty apartment for the last time. It's the heart break, the joy, as we lose & gain new friends or relationships.

**This article contains spoilers for season 3 of the Hulu series, 'Love, Victor'** Love, Victor debuted on Hulu back in 2020 and serves as a follow-up to the 2018 LGBTQ+ film, Love, Simon. Pride Playlist
It's Pride Month, and it's been a while since I made a playlist article, so I figured that this was well overdue. Disclaimer: none of the songs listed here were actually intended to be Gay Anthems, but no-body who listened to them came away thinking "Oh, yes, totally about best friends/a straight couple/fitting in..."

Hermit's Kingdom
If you're new here: This is a blog series giving LGBTQIA+ people's perspectives on the Tarot cards. Tarot is a set of symbols added on to a deck of playing cards, depicting a spiritual journey, to be used for meditation or fortune telling. Catch up with the characters we've met on the journey so far by clicking on these links for The Fool, The Magician, The High Priestess, The Empress, The Emperor, The Hierophant, The Lovers, The Chariot, and Strength. The particular version that's thought of today as the basic traditional Tarot, from which the myriad of decks are influenced and inspired, was drawn by mixed race bisexual lady Pamela "Pixie" Colman Smith, whose insights I'm sure made it into this art commission given her by straight white men, whatever their expectations of her might have been. So I've asked LGBTQIA+ Tarot users in online groups to give me their viewpoints on the cards, and the result is this series of blogs.

The Truth About Rainbow Capitalism
On June 28, 1969, queer activist Marsha P. Johnson helped lead the Stonewall Uprising in Lower Manhattan, an event which sparked gay liberation in the 1960's and 70's. In 70's New York City, the first of an annual gay liberation march occurred, honouring the events of Stonewall. Since then, every June marks a month of visibility and remembrance within the global LGBTQIA+ community and its allies.

It's hard to have a Gaytime on your own
It’s not what you think. Unless you’re from Australia and know that a Gaytime isn’t just Pride month or an LTBGI statement but summer on a stick. Creamy coldness of vanilla with the burnt sweetness of toffee, melting on your tongue while your teeth crunch the honeycomb biscuit and the thin layer of chocolate. It’s 104 in the shade and you couldn’t be happier, having a gay old time at the beach.

PRIDE in a Small Town
I haven’t lived there in more than 32 years, but today I am so very PROUD to share the PRIDE that I have in my hometown of St. Johns, Michigan. This weekend, the small, rural, Midwestern, agricultural town where I grew up (population 7920,) hosted their second annual PRIDEFEST!
