Falling From The Sun

On stumbles, scars and second chances

Reaching for the Sun and second Chances - Dall-E created on prompt from Author

The Sweaty Man’s Cap

twisted in the sun

tumbled down life’s ladder

Couldn’t reach the sun

.

The happy man’s trousers

soaked in blood

joy’s bubbles burst

through the breath of air

.

Body contorted in pain

Foolishness pays its price

Colors must wait

He curses his misfortune aloud

.

Put on pause

Others’ lives go merrily on

Spectator to the carousel’s spinning

When to climb aboard again?

.

The wounds heal

Pride took a fall

The horse snorts again

Come and ride me

.

Hesitant

Wavering

Comforting himself

Doubtful

.

A new sunny day begins

For a moment, forgotten

The scars life carved

Reaching for the chance

.

Learning from what was

Guarding against renewal

Grasping the sun’s rays

With oven mitts on

Nice job Henrik, especially the last two lines as Caroline pointed out as most people seemed to think. It added a bit of humor to an otherwise very deep piece of poetry.

This is brilliant, Sir. The message, the imagery, your choice of words, especially the oven mitts to end it... This is beautiful. ⚡💙⚡

This poem beautifully captures the raw and cyclical nature of human struggles and triumphs. the imagery of "twisted in the sun" and ''tumbled down life's ladder'' evokes the intensity of life's obstacles.very interesting and great workds.

  • Lots to think about in your words

  • The ending felt hopeful. Loved your beautiful poem!

  • Beautifully written Henrik. It is so sad but natural I suppose that the world continues onwards no matter our personal losses or experiences. Hope you are doing OK x 💜 C
