Your Words Gave me Courage

Written for the Tattoo This Line Challenge

By KA Stefana Published 8 months ago 1 min read

When the shadows grew darker,

And my fears surrounded me,

I hid deeper in the recesses of my mind,

Running with anxiety-laced adrenaline.

But you saw the real me,

Frightened and alone.

Your words gave me courage;

Lured me back to the light.

Our souls intertwined.

Maybe to the world,

You'd be invisible,

But to me,

You're my bed of roses.
