How many nights has my soul wandered
In the darkness and shadows
Of my mind
The land In between wakefulness and sleep
Alone with my hidden burdens
The ones never spoken aloud
Wrestling with my every thought
Traveling down dark rabbit holes
Tossed by tornadoes
Left shivering by the waters edge
But as the sun rises
The shadows fade
Give way to a new day
The fractured dreams
Forgotten
As sleep surrenders
And consciousness takes control
Until today’s journey
Winds it’s memories into my dreams
