Your Dreams Can Be a Reality
An entry into the Tattoo This Line challenge.

Within each beat of a dying heart
As ragged breaths struggle to escape
Past memories begin to depart
Playing out in my mind like a tape,
No words can describe the grief inside
An ending too soon to comprehend
So many wonders I hadn't tried
And so many people I called friend,
If I had the time to live life twice
I'd designed my life with artistry
Tell myself one key bit of advice
Your dreams can be a reality.

Great, succinct work. Wonderful!
A gorgeous poem. Absolutely gorgeous x
This is great! Each of us does exactly that: create our own reality. And each reality is unique. We all only overlap. ⚡💙⚡
My favorite is this line: "So many wonders I hadn't tried" It makes me want to get out into the world and look for more.
So much universe, so little time ☺️
That ending was hopeful. Loved your poem!
