Now, I’m seeing,

that you tend the soil of my being.

When all I see is dirt and dust,

you see beauty, not rust.

You are walking with me in the garden of purpose and good tidings,

spiritual workings and miracles, there are continuous sightings!

You rake the leaves of my burdens and pile them up to burn them.

You raise your arms in a victory sign and you call it my win.

You remind me of all the things you have bestowed upon me.

With such reassurance, I feel confident, knowing I am everything you have called me to be.

In my fieldwork, I’ve discovered a quiet elegance in the soil. Today, it was the subtle layers, stacked over thousands of years, that hid artifacts the world forgot.
