Have you ever made a mountain crop out of nothing? Or changed the course of a river? How about changed a king's mind? Have you caused autumn to become a winter? Or even talked a butterfly out of a cocoon? Could you do all these things if only you had a magic wand or just the right words for an incantation? I think not. Yet in your (Opti-mystic) arrogance you deny that something might be greater than yourself. It must be wonderful to be the master of your own world and being. But can you make it last forever? Nope!
Egotheism: Egotheism came from the Latin word, “ego”, which means “I” and the Greek word, “theos” which means “god”. It is the deification of oneself; hence, it denies faith and divine revelation. For instance, an egotheist believes that he is his own god and the notion of a “God” is merely a conception of the self. www.alleydog.com
Why I love the word: because every human being tries to be their own god, but we all become angry when things don't go as we planned. And we all find out that we really aren't the one in charge...admitting it is the hard part, though!

Reading this piece and the definition I first thought, well, it might be nice to be an ego-theist, to be in charge of everything. But then, the rub, is that you have to be in charge of everything. Seems like a lot of responsibility. I've been in charge of enough in my life do know that's not the life for me. I don't think I'd want to be a president, a king, or a god, so I have to give up on being an ego-theist, haha.
This so true. An insight into the existence into the very beliefs of a human being. Loved it
