Weighing it by Hundreds
To celebrate D.K.'s "100" published works on Vocal

There are a hundred reasons why I'm a complainer,
and at least a hundred and one of why I shouldn't be.
There are a hundred reasons to wish for a do-over,
but just as many to say, "wouldn't be prudent to alter fate."
I can think of a hundred things that make life bitter,
but grateful that thousands make it so sweet.
There were hundreds of reasons that life made me weak,
But ten thousands of reasons I stood strong instead.
There are hundreds upon thousands of children in the world,
But I am so grateful that I had "the four" that were given to me.
There are a hundred reasons why not to Believe,
but I can think of millions of why I do!

"But I am so grateful that I had "the four" that were given to me." As a parent this resonated with me.
Wonderful poem… love the contrasting numbers and reasons etc… especially: “ There are hundreds upon thousands of children in the world, But I am so grateful that I had "the four" that were given to me. There are a hundred reasons why not to Believe, but I can think of millions of why I do!” Beautifully put!💙✅
