You

By: Diamond Smith

You fall in my mind off of a cliff of questions

Beautiful, yet, fatal thorns leave my heart so restless

I’m aloft but when I fall id be so reckless

As if the thought of you without me left me helpless

Picked to the stem, you’d know my worst

But the good without the bad couldn’t define my worth

One step to reality and our hearts would burst

My pains without yours would never work

With a past like an anchor to hold you down

It felt you had been tailored without any sound

You saw, you heard, you gave, and you got

But an awake to your voice is no sound that taunts

An escape so amazing our hearts would sore

One look into your eyes in which I adore

Ablaze like a fire that we could commit

A love that has reached from a bottomless pit

You clear up the clouds that crowd my head

Our beauty can lift the feathers above our bed

A ponder about love that would leave us misread.

With the thought of losing you, would leave me dead
