YOU

Always You, Always Words

By Brittany 🩷Published 4 months ago • 1 min read

I write about you

Almost daily, it’s true

In hopes that you’ll read it

And somehow breakthrough

I write about you

And the things that you do

Cause I know that you’ll read it

And think of me, too

I write about you

How you’re all I desire

Flying to you

Like a moth to a fire

I write about you

I can’t help it, it’s true

I’m lying to myself

But you’re lying too

I write about you,

Though it worries me, too,

Cause the second it’s published,

You’ll know it’s about you.

Whether you tell me or not,

Or whether you feel the same,

It’s always been you

And you, it will remain.
