I Think

A Poem Of Cruelty Clothed As Connection

By Brittany 🩷Published 4 months ago • 1 min read

I think you like to watch me suffer

You like to hear my pain

I think that when it comes down to it

You really feel the same

I think you like to feel upset

I think you like to mourn

I think you like to wallow in it

And pretend that you’re so torn

I know the others think I’m nuts

That I’m just way too serious

However, I’m not sure that’s true

I think that you’re delirious

I think you like to hear yourself

I think you like to talk

I think you like to find nice girls

Successful ones, to mock

Yet when the doors should one day close

And anger may regress

I hope you think of all the people

That you let sit and stress

I hope one day you look inside

And consider how you feel

It’s clear that you don’t truly care

You just want to seem real.
