With Rain Comes Storms, & Memories In Every Drop
In the reflection of each and every raindrop, I see you… -and in the flood that pools at my feet, I see what used to be, we.
Every raindrop is a prelude to another,
and every thought of you,
will only have brought to me, another.
One picture of you will only paint one more,
and one note of your voice, will only play another.
Because with rain, comes storms,
and clouds will only gather and collect each other‐
saturated by flood after flood, the concrete at my feet will never recover‐
The stars in the night sky have memorized your smile,
just as I have, and they insist that I don't forget,
because even with all of my might, I cannot resist the items in temptation's aisle.
As drops race down the window of the store,
I am shown your face one more‐
because with rain, comes storms and nothing else with it,
the pain of regret, I am reminded of by the minute‐
my eyes, keep my face wet, as this storm rages on without limit.
Never have my eyes teared more,
each and every raindrop is a prelude to another,
because with rain comes storms, and never anything more‐
About the Creator
Josh Morgan
Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
