We often search for beauty in the obvious, or at the surface level.

It’s only natural to do so. A bird’s wings, for example, are beautiful. But the true beauty of a bird lies in the freedom of its flight.

So let’s look for beauty in the less obvious.

The sky takes them as I reach

Beauty in free flight.

There's something brutal about it I think. Beauty I mean. In nature. Totally unselfconscious and raw.

  • This is an awesome idea, Michelle. The subtle beauty underneath the things we typically look at. Well done!

it is amazing, that birds - small to big ones - can levitate and fly on these feather light wings. Love your thoughts!

  • Yes beauty is usually in the less obvious and simple things in life. Loved your poem!
