My dearest Jane,
Have you submitted your art to any masters for appraisal? They would be mad to not give you the highest bids to such a talent as yours.
I hope you are having a quiet evening as tonight I find my mind troubled with thoughts that are wrapping too tightly around my memory.
Do you recall all of our late night discussions and debates? My memory is clouded with a sadness that I can no longer be at a simple beckoning call to reach you.
I do wonder at times if the mad raven hadn’t gotten to my own memory, as I recalled times where your twinkling milky gaze and late night whispers gave me the impression of our love being reached to a more powerful level.
I truly hope you sleep well and wake up in peaceful, happy spirits, Jane.
I long to see you face to face, once again, soon.
For now, I close my eyes and I see your soft smile and sad gaze, windswept and in pain, and I wish I could erase such agony from you. I won’t ever say goodnight or goodbye, just that I feel in my heart we will one day reunite for good.
Love,
Edward
