exchanging emotions
erasing the lines
from the constant commotion
ravaging in my mind
peeling away all my senses
holding me in its snare
knocking down my defenses
leaving me unaware
of the damage I cradle
nurturing the enemy
building it up, making it able
supplying the war raging inside me
as I close my eyes
letting everything go
surrender to the quiet
relinquishing all control
feel the rush of the silence
the complete ease of peace
sitting here in my presence
till all the confusion is ceased
tranquility taking over
peacefulness is in charge
we embrace like lost lovers
when I need to recharge

Thoughts on Vocal and the way the world is
"Death cannot stop true love, only delay it." – Wesley in The Princess Bride. I decided to come back to Vocal on a very cold and dark night at the end of December. I had been, and still am, convalescing from a horrible staph infection that had gone misdiagnosed for months. This, paired with the increasing challenges of being healthy, making the best choices for my co-parented child, being a wife, and being a director at a new job, was a lot to manage.

Now I'm calm!!! So true, that humans build things up in our minds, but we are powerful enough to calm ourselves, too!
