What Would You Say If You Were Here Today?

Do you remember back in 2012?

When everyone thought the world was going to end?

The Apocalypse.

Everyone was in some frenzy about what they were going to do with their last moments.

I remember it...

I remember feeling that it probably was not the end of everything...

Yet that subtle feeling lingered in the back of my head...

What if?

What if I was wrong?

What if this really was the end?

If the end came, and the Lord came down for the Rapture...

Would I be saved?

Were we really about to witness the end?

I was not sure...

But I knew there was one person who could help me understand what the Bible says on these things...

You, brother.

I remember going to Village Inn to sit down with you...

To get your thoughts...

To have peace with whatever was said...

I sought you.

And you did bring me peace.

You brought me hope.

You helped me see what was right and good.

You were so certain that it was not the end of times...

And you were right.

2012 came and went...

And life went on.

Now, today on your birthday...

As you sit in heaven by the Father...

I wonder what you would have thought in today's world...

With the pandemic and rise of chronic illness and disease...

The spread of different types of addiction tactics used to prey on the lowly...

The rising fears of an AI Superintelligence that could deem us unnecessary and irrelevant...

Assassinations...

The release of criminals onto the streets who continue to bring harm to women and children...

The wars that seem to be growing and threaten another World War...

The lies and deceit that people are blind to...

That keeps them in bondage without them realizing their struggle.

What would you say about all of these?

Would your tune have changed?

Would you begin to wonder for yourself if indeed these are the end times?

No.

I know that you had something that most people struggle their entire lives to find...

Peace and acceptance.

Even on your final day years ago...

When I held your hand before the end...

You had Peace.

Despite the pains and struggles...

You were ready.

I am sure that you are looking down today...

Saying now what you said then...

Do not allow your worries to trouble you.

The Lord provides.

This is not the end...

But even if it was...

Trust and Faith make it not so.

All that we must do...

Is listen...

Accept the path that is provided...

And all things will work out for Good.

We may not understand all of these things...

But they are not for us to understand.

All that is required of us...

Is to live...

And love.

Seek Him...

And you will have the strength that is needed.

Mountains will be moved.

Healing will be spread.

Good will triumph.
