Dear dreary evening
Covering the sunset
with your thick billowed clouds
a little sliver of orange
dared peek through
quickly doused in grey
a little sliver of daydream
dared to warm me
quickly doused in real
the lines lined up
in the grey sky
like pages of a journal
daring me to write
my feelings out
what I keep secret
in my heart
goes rogue
once in a while
and I rein it back in
with strings
from my heart
the lines remain
unfilled
on a dreary evening.

This was absolutely spectacular! Loved it so much!
Throughly enjoyed and very inspiring! Amazing how the most ordinary things can be a huge source of inspiration!
The quiet melancholy mixed with tiny sparks of warmth really stayed with me. It made me appreciate those fleeting moments of daydream even more.
My favorite line...."a little sliver of daydream"
The lines lining up like pages in a journal is such a nice touch, I love it!
