What’s wrong with y’all

You think you are too old or too good for cartoons or something?

By Melissa IngoldsbyPublished 3 years ago Updated 3 years ago 1 min read
See I can be mature on the computer typing mature adult things too, SEE?! -Master Shake in my head

y’all think you’re too good

Sipping on that cold juice

That long time, old ass haterade

You think I don’t see the problem

An adult that likes old cartoons?

New cartoons?

Silly and strange flash ones?

short little YouTube animated memes?

I get it, but

Y’all judge

Y’all hate on me

I can’t stop me though.

My Creaky Leaky Squeaky

Was too colorful

And a bit too loud

It’s about a glittery fluttery butterfly

Man and a wormy guy, way too

Weird, amirite???

What’s up with y’all

I feel like y’all grew out of the wonders of animation

Like how it’s so sad and deep and truly unique

But still bouncy and bursting with lovely, lively atmosphere and colors you taste and feel and smell,

With characters that move you to feel again

And understand mortality

Like a child

With adult eyes,

Again, I’ll repeat

What is up with y’all?

Take a chill pill

And sit down

And watch this damn cartoon,

It’s only an hour and twenty three minutes.

I still love bugs bunny and the coyote and roadrunner. Yeah, I'm old. Love your poem. I was smiling all the ways through.

I for one love your bright and bouncy characters that leap right off the page into reader's hearts.

  • That was fun , the irony about cartoons as they look so simple but require a lot mork work than using real actors

  • Omgggg, I love cartoons!!!! I don't get how can someone outgrow cartoons! It's completely absurd. Btw, have you heard of Happy Tree Friends? You should check that out. It's dark, lol!

  • Luv this and I totally agree, like, who doesn't like cartoons?! I live for Looney Tunes and all the rest, Hanna Barbera, Disney, Ren and Stimpy, mostly the oldies
