Insanity Gets A Bad Rap
It’s the sanity that gets you
angels, ordinary - all around
Do whatever, just to get through
fall to pieces on the ground
~
Take a breath and catch your footing
play pretend, say pretty please
Caviar and chocolate pudding
collect a blessing whenever you sneeze
~
To the edge of your existence
as you laugh, you roll your eyes
Staying alive takes real persistence
it’s so much easier, to die
~
Insanity is an illusion
insomnia - reveals the truth
Cuts through the make believed confusion
no recognition of the proof
~
Normal lends to speculation
normal, a phrase loosely defined
Expanding on truth's illumination
living in means that life assigned

I used to love to tell people that the definition of insanity is to act or be outside of the norm. But since the norm today is to be different, if you're insane you're normal, & if you're normal you're insane. Your way of putting it is much more eloquent.
