Walk My Heart Away

I want to walk my heart out

And drown it underseas.

Knowing emotion as a stranger,

And watching its power cease.

-

I want to walk my heart away,

Away from who is me.

How it betrays my deepest joy,

By challenging it to be.

-

I want to walk my heart astray,

And never feel it confused.

And know it as an old leather,

Broken, brown and bruised.

-

I want to walk my heart afloat,

And never let it rise.

Forever, I will be to be,

As my heart, it wanders, flies.

This one's a bittersweet stroll through emotions! It's got a cool vibe, like walking away from the heart’s drama, yet still holding on to it in the end. The contrast between wanting to escape and the inevitable connection is pretty powerful. Simple but deep—love it!
