And when the light was set aglow,
I cast it far away,
And darkened it with shadows so
All light will float astray.
-
A world where I can run
And never once return.
With not one reason to go on,
I let the fire burn.
-
Concealing every vestige of truth
behind a brick of lies.
Forgetting every world in youth,
All heart-wrenching goodbyes.
-
When betrayal is accustomed to,
Its meaning falls away.
For this is life and this is true,
Now beg the mist to stay.
