w, w, w
a poem about feeling

with every morning comes a pain and a dream
wounds, old and new, boil and fester;
wednesdays have never felt longer
why do we choose to change?
words, shiny goodnesses, rays of hope,
when we tell ourselves we can be more;
wind in our hair, blowing away what we know
worries in our minds, culminating, overpoured;
writing with a scramble, a hunger to understand
wanting more, wanting better, for the first time
willing ourselves to be true
willpower at our finest
weakness at our truest
wine, red or white, spilling down our throats,
washing away memories of
wicked ways and wiles, or of
willful love, or wanton hopes,
or wistful dreams—
we are human; we feel it all the same

Beautifully constructed poem. Nicely done and with the 2 words - it took some thought.
Love how you took the theme of W words to make something so whimsically wistful.
Wonderful!!
This is awesome! W is a hard one to work with!
wow!! this must have taken a good amount of time! Usually such types of poems sound forced, but here each line flows so well!
I love this ♦️♦️♦️I subscribed please add me too 🙏♦️
This was great and titled perfectly! I don't think I realized how great "w" is for poetry. Loved this!
👏👏
Love your unique approach to this with the "w" lines! Very well done, Angela!
Gosh, it was only when I went back and read it again that I noticed you'd started every line with a W. This was so well written - and Wednesdays feeling like they're never-ending is so relatable. Fab.
Worderful Words playing on the twenty second letter
This is beautiful, angela. Each line is touching in its own way, each with their own unique weight.
That was so relatable! I especially loved how you started each line with a W, which I wouldn't have realised if not for your title hehehe
Artful alliteration abounds!
So beautifully inspiring. Excellent work, Angela!
Beautifully written ❤️
