Upon the Rosemary Bush

Interdisciplinary Cross Forms

By Jacqueline JonesPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Upon the Rosemary bush

I see a little mirror

It reflects upon my life and I see many things in fear

I see past times and dreams

neither I feel here

I wonder to myself, how lost I’ve been through years.

I’ve searched through time and space

To find what I’ve been longing for

Nowhere near or close

Yet trapped inside Earth’s corridor

It’s a tricky place to be

I must share yet can never leave

The mission I set afoot

Has transcended and riddled me.

How come such a small feat

Is now weighing so heavily on me?

The only way to go, is through the light

Of my mind, you see-

It’s regiments are hued and are slightly askew

Yet the colors are indefinite;

They follow no strict rule of discipline.

It’s origins reside in my memory

Like a time capsule with warped imagery.

The mirror in which I find myself in-

Is it simply just the eye...

Of my soul within?
