Unrequited Fairytale

A love fifty

Days pass like memories

In photo books

Images of old ghosts

Characters from fairytales

Trapped in stories

Of a losing good, where

Love doesn’t prevail

And happiness

Isn't ever after

~

A black mist falls

from mourning stars

as a lost Prince Charming

lays down

wondering where his

Cinderella is tonight

heartbreak

Wow that was dark, but somehow very beautiful. I like the thought of images of characters trapped in stories, something magical and mystifying in that thought. Nicely Done!!!!

  • Beautifully sad.
