A Sonnet for a lovely friend
This is a sonnet for my Tolkien-loving Muse, her daughter and their cats, based on a lovely day they had today down by the river.

Today was a day at the river
So Cats Boo, Scratch and Sasha stayed home
Then it was you and Autumn Alone
The River Fast Flowing River Was Silver

Spawning Salmon, perfect For Gollum
Just Like Dwarves And Hobbits In Barrels
Escaping Down The Flowing Channel
A Perfect Day Under The Hot Sun

Bike Down The Hill Towards That River
Mother And Daughter Enjoy The Day
Today Would Be Perfect Forever
Green River Is Where You Love to Play
