To my thoughts‐

Why can't you exist in peace?

Why must you fight?

Why can't you all just get along?

*sigh*

Is this fire impossible to cease?

Must you be so loud?...

and every night?...

Like a noisy gong, you echo by the hour

and you make the moonlight taste so, so sour

To my thoughts-

Why can't you be a group who calls themselves we?...

or at the very least, just be quiet‐

I hate your songs...

but saturated by such, I am

must I drown?...

must your torture come year round?...

You hang weights at the ends of my lips

forcing my frown

doing me no favor but keeping me upside-down

To my thoughts-

Why must you do this to me?

You've taught me torment enough...

Why can't you leave me in one piece?

It is me, that your war leaves torn...

suffering to the writing done by your hands‐

To my thoughts–

You think you're playing tricks on me, but

you clearly don't know...

what you're leading me to‐

I can see the end of your torture...

and there's not a thing you can do to stop me, but‐

don't you know?...

The end of me...

means the end of you, too‐
