FACELESS
I have eyes, a nose, ears, and a mouth... -but still, no face.
my face is blank
but my heart is crying
although my eyes are dry
a nightmare stirs behind them
my face may be blank
but my mind is in chaos
i cannot hear hope
but cries of war ring in my ears
my face is blank
because my soul has lost it's peace
not because i am hiding
but because i have no voice to sing to my fears
my face is blank
and my vessel empty
my eyes without color
and no breath left in me
i am faceless
but not for or from pride
i have nothing to hide
because there is nothing left in me
from dread existential
i have lost my smile
counting what is left of time
i have been left faceless

I hope you enjoyed it, here are some similar stories of mine. Some more abstract poetry in a first-person point of view, that I hope and want to be able to meet people where they're at.
About the Creator
Josh Morgan
Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
