To my Dearest Luna

A letter to the moon

To my dearest Luna,

Keeper of my secrets, whispered through a midnight confession.

The dreary night sky is illuminated with your presence, the tide is compelled to obey your command, the magnitude of stars that surround you are envious, still, in solemn you do understand.

For you too have a love, you chase through the skies, arriving when she sets, gone before rise. Eternally separate, yet perfectly matched. A love like an egg that won't ever hatch.

I share a similar love, a flower that refuses to bloom. You and I, we're caterpillar's that will never cocoon.

No butterflies, no songbirds, no beautiful pedals, just two hopeless romantics refusing to settle.

The imagery of tides, stars, and unfulfilled love resonates with quiet melancholy, giving the reader a reflective pause.

Oh wow, this one feels achingly beautiful! And that closing line — “just two hopeless romantics refusing to settle” ties it together with this bittersweet defiance that makes the whole thing glow. ✨

There’s something truly special about your tone and storytelling. It inspired me to imagine a few creative angles that could make it even more powerful. Would love to discuss them if you’re open!
